INTERVENTIONAL PROCEDURES OVERVIEW

Interventional cardiology is a general reference to the processes and techniques used to treat cardiovascular disease. This module describes the procedures commonly performed in the catheterization lab.

After successful completion of this module, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Coronary Artery blood flow
  • List the common procedures done in a cardiac cath lab
  • List the potential complications of diagnostic procedures and PTCA
